
To find out if this is the problem, go to the object types visibility drop-down menu in the top right corner of the 3D viewport. For instance, if you cannot select lamps but you can select mesh or geometry objects. You can have the same problem but for an object type. You marked the object type as unselectable

This way we can disable selection for the objects we are not currently working with instead of hiding them. This feature is there to make it easier to select the objects that we need to select when we have many objects in the scene. A white arrow indicated an object is selectable and an arrow that only has two lines show that a complete collection of objects is not selectable. If this arrow is gray, your object is unselectable. In the outliner, we can mark an object as unselectable or not selectable. Just select multiple objects one by one by holding shift and click and then press tab to enter edit mode. Keep in mind that you can be in edit mode for multiple objects at once.

If you need extra priming, you can increase the number of skirt outlines on the Additions tab in Simplif圓D. The skirt will draw a circle around your part, and in the process, it will prime the extruder with plastic. A common way to do this in Simplif圓D is by including something called a skirt.

To solve this issue, make sure that you prime your extruder right before beginning a print so that the nozzle is full of plastic and ready to extrude.

If you are trying to start a print after you nozzle has been oozing, you may notice the same delayed extrusion. If your extruder has lost some plastic due to oozing, the next time you try to extrude, it is likely that it will take a few seconds before plastic starts to come out of the nozzle again. This idle oozing can occur at the beginning of a print when you are first preheating your extruder, and also at the end of the print while the extruder is slowly cooling. The hot plastic inside the nozzle tends to ooze out of the tip, which creates a void inside the nozzle where the plastic has drained out. Most extruders have a bad habit of leaking plastic when they are sitting idle at a high temperature.
